It has been quite some time since our last newsletter, so here are some recent developments and things to look out for from the library.
- We are launching a Staff Book Club in November, open to all staff at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The first one will take place at lunch time on Thursday 29th November 2018 more information will be coming soon but save the date if you are interested!
- Feedback from our latest Randomised Coffee Trial has been very positive so far, so we hope to run another one some time in December. For more information on what it involved, check out Library Manager Mary’s blog post here.
- Watch this space for a new influx of Nursing books on the library, we will update here when they arrive!
- BMJ Best Practice has proven popular with staff, in particular the guidelines within your preferred subject area. Our blog explains all about BMJ Best Practice here. Once you have set up an account using your OpenAthens on the website you can access the content anywhere on the go via the BMJ best practice app, even when offline!
- Last but most definitely not least, we recommend the Greater Manchester Ebooks blog which is an extensive repository of online content staff can access with their OpenAthens log in details. Browse by subject area or subscribe to be alerted of new content when it drops. Definitely one to bookmark if you like to access up to date eBooks. In particular there is a large collection of management eBooks on there.
