Do we have access to this journal?

Recently we were surprised to be told we do not take Lancet Oncology, Cancer Research and the Annals of Oncology.  We are pleased to announce this is fake news. We do take all 3 top journals.  So the problem must be access.  Here we will guide you through how to access these and other journals within and outside the Trust.

As with anything available electronically, there are many ways that you can access these journals.  For this we will presume you either have a reference you want to find or you just want to browse the current issue of the journal.

Start with eJournals link on our front page and simply enter the title of the journal and search.  It should take you to the latest issue but also give you accessCapture4 to Articles in Press . For Lancet Oncology and the Annals of Oncology  when you click on an article, this works without a problem.  They will ask you for your OpenAthens and you will be into your article.

Unfortunately Cancer Research and the other AACR journals do not use OpenAthens do you now have to click on the link to the web site where you do have access to full text anywhere within the Trust – great news!

So now you have accessed these 3 journals you can explore our eJournal link to find other journals.  Unfortunately this only links to journal issues from the beginning of 2007.  It will redirect you for older articles

Outside The Trust, you use the same process but from our external page.  Lancet Oncology and Annals of Oncology and many other journals work from this link but this time I am afraid you do not have access to Cancer Research and the other AACR journals.  They are only available within the Trust.

One really nice thing about this  eJournal search tool is that it is available as an App
