Elsevier have a Patient Access Programme where patients and carers can request access to medicine and healthcare journals articles.
Sounds simple enough, patients and care-givers can e-mail patientaccess@elsevier.com with title, author or doi, etc. and you receive your paper free of charge, within 24 hours.
