Ahead of the forthcoming 4th Annual Christie Advanced Radiotherapy Summer School in July, we will be producing a series of blog posts with recommended resources.
Day one of the Summer School is all about SABR: Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy.
“SABR uses small, thin beams of radiation directed from different angles that meet at the tumour. This means the tumour gets a high dose of radiation, while the surrounding healthy tissues gets a low dose. This lowers the risk of damaging the healthy normal cells surrounding the tumour.”
