‘Kitty’ Research Bus

Our latest lunch and learn session discussed the use of NIHR’s ‘Kitty’ research bus. Dr Clare Jones talks about the set up of this service, her experiences so far and plans for the future. Karen Palmer shares her views on LSCFT’s plans to utilise this research bus with clinical trials and supporting people to get involved with research.

26th September 2022

Our next Lunch and Learn session is happening on Monday 26th September 2022 (12-1pm) with our colleague Marisa Wray, who will be sharing her experience of receiving a cancer diagnosis during the pandemic. Marisa is also a consultant psychiatrist within the Trust and will be discussing the impact this has had when working with her own patients.

All library members should have received a Team’s invite to the meeting. If not, please get in touch with academic.library@lscft.nhs.uk for an invite to be extended to yourself or your team.

Thank- you to all of those who attended our July lunch and learn session last week. This was held with Dave Clayton – the founder of ‘Wotwududo’ – an educational program to help children discuss scenarios related to a range of mental health issues.

Recovery college and wellbeing

Thank you to everyone who attended our May lunch and learn session with Suzie Smith who talked us through what goes on in the recovery college. She discussed the importance of working with NHS volunteers and how people can get involved with the college. There are a wide range of courses held for free by the college focusing on both mental health aspects and life skills (how to cope financially with the rising costs of living). If you or anyone you know may be interested then make sure you get in touch with Suzie or the Recovery College. They are open Monday to Friday 9-4:30 and are based at Minerva in Deepdale.
