The Women’s Prize for Fiction is the UK’s most prestigious annual book award celebrating and honouring fiction by women. The Prize celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in writing by women in English from throughout the world. The 2022 longlist was announced recently, with the winner being announced on the 15th June.

Longlist announced

The Women’s Prize for Fiction is the UK’s most prestigious annual book award celebrating and honouring fiction by women. The Prize celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in writing by women in English from throughout the world. The 2021 longlist was announced in March, with the winner being announced on the 7th July.

2020 International Booker Prize

Winner announced

Congratulations are in order for Marieke Lucas Rijneveld, who wrote The Discomfort of Evening– winning The 2020 International Booker Prize. The book was written in Dutch and translated by Michele Hutchison. The £50,000 prize will be split equally between them, giving both the author and translator equal recognition.
