We encourage and enjoy having students of all disciplines on the unit – both on long placements and on short visits or spoke placements. Student nurses have their own welcome pack and are encouraged to take part in any unit teaching or Trust initiatives such raising awareness of sepsis. We have a badge initiative which identifies them by their name and year of training so that we can make sure the learning is appropriate.

Most of all, our staff ambition is to be the best role models they can be for these health professionals of the future.
