Achieving integrated care
The Local Government Association and Social Care Institute for Excellence have published Achieving integrated care: 15 best practice actions. This resource is intended to support local systems in fulfilling their ambition of integration. It draws on evidence about what works from international research, emerging best practices and engagement with stakeholders and partners.
Integrated care leadership
The King’s Fund has published Leading for integrated care: ‘if you think competition is hard, you should try collaboration’. This report reflects the views of 16 chairs and leads of STPs and ICSs on the progress, challenges and opportunities for integrated care. The interviewees believe that it is evolving and progress is being made towards a more integrated way of working.
NICEimpact: lung cancer
NICE has published NICEimpact lung cancer. This report considers how NICE’s evidence-based guidance can contribute to improvements in the care of people with lung cancer. It is based on data showing the uptake of NICE guidance and quality statement measures from national audits, reports, surveys and indicator frameworks.
NHS finance: diversity and inclusion
Future-Focused Finance and the Healthcare Financial Management Association have published Diversity and inclusion: how you can make a difference. This report looks as how a diverse and inclusive finance function can leads to better care for patients and a better place to work. It explores the practical actions that can make a difference and drive positive change.
Supporting employees experiencing domestic abuse
NHS Employers is highlighting resources which encourage organisations to support employees experiencing domestic abuse as part of the 16 days of Action Against Domestic Violence campaign. The resources include a blog which discusses the importance of supporting employees who are experiencing abuse, and highlights how organisations can develop an effective support scheme.
