NHS productivity
NHS England has highlighted statistics showing NHS productivity for the financial year ending 2017 grew by 3% in England, more than treble the 0.8% achieved across wider the UK economy in 2016/17. Labour productivity, UK: July to September 2018 statistics, published by the Office of National Statistics, show output per hour, output per job and output per worker for the whole economy and a range of industries.

Local auditor reporting
The National Audit Office has published Local auditor reporting in England 2018. This report describes the local audit landscape; summarises the issues being reported by local auditors, and how these have changed over time; and examines how local bodies, central government departments and arm’s-length bodies use the information to address the weaknesses reported. The report covers local NHS organisations.
CCG allocations / Operational planning and contracting guidance
NHS England has published draft CCG allocations for 2019/20 – 2023/24. These allocations are part of the deployment of NHS England’s five-year revenue funding settlement, averaging 3.4% a year in real terms and reaching £20.5bn extra a year by 2023/24. The following documents have been published:

National Diabetes Transition Audit
The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership has published National Diabetes Transition Audit 2011-17. This report examines care provision when young people with Type 1 diabetes move from paediatric to adult-based clinical care. The findings point to deterioration in annual care process completion, achievement of treatment targets and higher rates of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) when young people transition from paediatric to adult services, with considerable local service variation. The report sets out recommendations for local specialist services, clinical commissioning groups and health boards.
Flu vaccination
The Department of Health and Social Care has published Flu vaccination in England: government response to the Science and Technology Committee report. This command paper sets out the government’s response to the Science and Technology Committee’s ninth report into flu vaccinations of session 2017 to 2019, published by the House of Commons in October 2018.
