Measles and rubella elimination strategy
Public Health England has published Measles and rubella elimination UK Strategy 2019. This report explains the UK’s strategy towards measles and rubella elimination. It focuses on four core components: achieve and sustain ≥ 95% coverage in the routine childhood programme; achieve ≥ 95% coverage with 2 doses of MMR vaccine in older age cohorts through opportunistic and targeted catch-up; strengthen measles and rubella surveillance; and ensure easy access to high-quality, evidence-based information.
Long term plan: equality and health inequalities assessment
NHS England has published The NHS Long Term Plan: equality and health inequalities impact assessment. The Equality and Health Inequalities Impact Assessment (EHIA) explains how NHS England has considered and addressed these ‘equality duties’ in developing the NHS Long Term Plan. It is accompanied by an annex which assesses each chapter of the plan.
