Integrated care
The Government has published Government response to the recommendations of the Health and Social Care Committee’s inquiry into ‘Integrated care: organisations, partnerships and systems’. This is a joint response reflecting the views of the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England, NHS Improvement, the Care Quality Commission and Health Education England. The response sets out how the government intends to address the committee’s recommendations as part of the long-term plan for the NHS.
Review of winter 2017/18 and Winter planning 2018/19
NHS Improvement has published NHS review of winter 2017/18. The review and accompanying annex gives providers, and those organisations supporting them, detailed information about the impact of the extra demands that was placed on the service during last winter. NHS Providers has published On the day briefing: winter planning announcements. This briefing summarises the key points from announcements made by government and national bodies relating to winter planning for 2018/19.
Use of digital technology
The Department of Health and Social Care has published Initial code of conduct for data-driven health and care technology. The code contains a set of principles that set out what is expected from suppliers of data-driven technologies, and a set of commitments that outline what the government will do to support and encourage innovators in health and care.

The journey to integrated care systems
NHS Providers has published Provider voices: the journey to integrated care systems. This third report in the series explores the challenges and opportunities presented by STPs and ICSs. It summarises common themes raised in a series of eleven interviews – including trust chairs and chief executives, leaders from commissioning and local government, national policy makers and thought leaders – and looks to what the future holds for collaborative working and integration.
Personal Health Records toolkit
NHS Digital has produced a Personal Health Records adoption toolkit. This toolkit supports health and care organisations in England to commission, develop or manage Personal Health Records (PHRs). It includes a PHR locations map, guidance for developing PHRs and standards for developing PHRs. The toolkit is based on insight from organisations involved in PHR development.
Evaluation in health and wellbeing
Public Health England has published a number of resources to support evaluation in health and wellbeing. The resources are for professionals working in health and wellbeing to support the evaluation of interventions, products, services, projects or programs and to support better local and national evidence-based commissioning and investment.

Quality improvement skills
NHS Improvement has produced a short series of videos to help build improvement capability and embed quality improvement skills in organisations. The videos share the thoughts of Pedro Delgado, the Head of Europe and Latin America region for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), on what has worked well in terms of building improvement capability in NHS organisations.

NHS England has published Leading Change, Adding Value national research portfolio: research studies template. This information template has been created to help collect examples of research studies that demonstrate the Leading Change, Adding Value (LCAV) framework.
